The actual name of the dish in Persia is “luqmat al qadi” and it was prepared by dipping the khoya balls in the sugary syrup and then later coated with sugar.
  • Chicken Tikka Masala: the most famous dish that has gained popularity so fast among the locals, as well as foreigners, is not originated from India. Though it belongs from the northern region of the country, it has its roots in Glasgow, Scotland. In the year 1971, a customer requested to prepare the dry preparation of the same dish in a different style, chef Ali Ahmed improvised the dish, and from then it has stayed in the hearts of food lovers.
  • Biryani: NOT YOU TOO BIRYANI! But alas it is true, biryani originated from Persia. the word “biryan” means fried before cooking in Persia. It is one of those dishes that has taken different forms according to the preferences of the locals and the availability of the ingredients.

These are some of the dishes that might not be originally from India but have marked its territory on the hearts and souls of the people forever.
