Every year, Ashtangis who go to Mysore to practice at the KPJAYI for a few weeks or months at a time may get permission from the master to start teaching Ashtanga. The school maintains the same structure and is now administered by Pattabhi Jois’ granddaughter and daughter.

 

In addition to Ashtanga yoga, you may learn to become a yoga teacher by spending years under the guidance of a great teacher or guru.
