Shocking customer service. Don’t bother trying to phone – hopeless. Gave up after being on hold again for half an hour this morning; same yesterday. No I go provided as to where you are in the queue so you could be waiting for days. The option to maintain ones place in the queue by requesting a call back is non-functioning; following instructions to ‘press 1’ simply returns you back to the recorded message & the deeply irritating soundtrack! Resorted to emailing customer services; no response. SO looking forward to the end of this current policy to switch providers.

I got a quote for contents insurance, initially entering my address. Then I went through and detailed all sorts of information. When I went to buy the policy, I got the message “Unfortunately, due to our underwriting guidelines we are unable to provide you cover at this address. To find another insurer go to Insurance Council.” Why??????????????????? What a waste of my time. Maybe the right time to tell me that would have been at the beginning of the process? I won’t ring to find out why, as it appears from other reviewers that their customer service is lousy.

Lost the copy of my policy. Discovered I’m paying double their current rate. Contacted 3 times now for a copy of my policy seeing exactly what I’m paying for. Cancelling in 5 days if no reply. Given its a senior’s insurance, they make the terms and conditions quite impossible to follow and even read…… Communication is hopeless and clearly customer service a waste.

Quick to take our money, but slow to refund after cancelling 😠

We’ve had Home & Contents Insurance with the one company for 35 years, and made the choice to switch to Australian Seniors (Seniors) mainly due to them having a physical office in our area.

After a little over 12 months we had our first ever home claim (a small one for hail damage) and as were very impressed by the smoothness of the process, after recently purchasing an older classic motor vehicle, we insured it with Seniors under a “pay by use” (limited kM) policy.

The only downsides of the Senior’s policy were the claims excess we had to accept in order to reduce the premium, and the market value they applied to our 20 year old vehicle.
