So far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Purchasing the insurance was quick and easy however if you’re looking to make a claim, expect disappointment and long turn around time. I tried calling their office and was literally on hold for over 1.5 hours and no one picked up. Made a claim online and not til 11 days later did someone email me back requesting additional paperwork which was fine, but after providing additional details still no answer after another 12 days. I even sent a follow up email and have no response. It’s been over 2 months since I’ve lost my luggage and I still haven’t been approved for my claim or heard back from them. Beware! They make it easy to purchase their insurance but impossible to make a claim.

We have found this company to be outstanding during the pandemic. I had a cruise booked in Galapagos. After sending in a detailed spreadsheet with my claim, I received all of my money back including credit card charges. I received a full refund from LATAM for my flight but they were prepared to refund that too, if it didn’t go through. It took a while to settle my claim but understandable in light of the current situation. I was very surprised to have my phone call answered within a few rings in the days after the Do Not Travel warning and the staff were always prompt and helpful when I made calls to the call centre. They have been thorough, helpful and professional with each part of my claim. We have used them previously but this is our first claim. We will definitely use them again in the future!

Koh Samui, Thailand is a beautiful place to visit. Reassuring to have Travel Insurance Direct on board. Fortunately did not need anything on this trip, but would not hesitate to use TID for future trips.

Took money but never received confirmation email with cover.. Landed in Bali and had to buy insurance again as proof of Covid cover was required.

TID was uncontactable as weekend, no response to emails either. This company is now the worst.
