I had the pleasure of a dental cleaning with Dr. Jane Kim. TUH had a good clean environment. Greatly pleased with my thorough clean with minimal pain.

Absolutely awful trying to speak to these guys.. the app doesn’t work all of a sudden (can’t login even though details haven’t changed and I’ve used the app previously) I tried using their callback option but the callback went straight to my voicemail even though my phone was on my desk right next to me and now I’ve been on hold to them for 47+ minutes!! Such terrible service! And they put their premiums up!!!

Service providers efficient. Office appears more chaotic each time. Always excuses because of computer systems. The computers and service just seem to be getting worse. Over 30 minutes to pay account fees today was inefficient business practice and lack of consideration for members. Admittedly some of the usual efficient staff and office manager weren’t there today. Hoping things improve.when they return.

Would give them a 0 but unfortunately 1 is the lowest. After being contacted by TUH I was convinced and assured by them that they would match my existing cover I had with Medibank Private of over 10 years if I were to switch to them. All was good until I needed to claim something. I was diagnosed with breast cancer a few weeks ago and being young I wanted to be reconstructed in the same surgery. I was horrified to find out that I was covered for the double mastectomy but not the reconstruction as it is was not apart of my policy as it’s classed as cosmetic surgery. So TUH are satisfied that 2 scars across your chest is a satisfactory outcome. What an absolute joke! When I rang to query it I was given 2 options. Upgrade the policy and wait the 12 month period or consider my options better when deciding on a policy. Unfortunately cancer is not something you can predict! I got the ombudsman involved and he completely backed me. He stated that had I stayed with Medibank I would of been covered. TUH would not come to the party however Medibank Private have gone above and beyond and have taken me back and have covered my operation with no waiting period. My advice is stick to the big companies that follow through on their word. I have and will continue to tell everyone about my experience with TUH and continue to see the disbelief in their faces when I tell the story.

TUH are happy to take your money, but when it comes to helping you make a claim, no customer service, have to do it online, their website has issues/not happy to help and simply do a one off claim over the phone, great start to my new membership with you…

Overall a reasonable experience and have been with them around 10 years.

Some pros and cons-

One the plus side, for families there is value for money with coverage. TUH don’t seem to target – market you for upgrading policies etc. The TUH health hub is clean, modern with pleasant staff.

Some things to be improved include reducing the amount of scientifically dubious ‘natural therapies’ inclusive on the policies, which must impact the premium costs of all policyholders.

Another area for staff discussion is the pushing/selling of cosmetic orthodontics by dentists when you at in for treatment. I’ve lost count of the times that I’ve been pitched expensive alternatives to my perfectly fine old fashioned bridge that needs recementing every few years.

Not exceptional service. Dentists and optometrists were good. I have had two experiences with poor communication of administrative staff which caused some inconvenience.

Had appointment at TUH Health Fund they sebt me a message confirm as Y or N and message asking if i had COVIN 19.

It was so confusion i replied N.

No Covin 19.

They today me it was N to cancel my appointment.

That’s why one star and girl was Not Professional.

I have always found TUH really responsive, claims are paid fast & I love the app for claiming when required and seeing what limits I’ve got left for extras. Customer service is always great, they actually care about their members. I’ve been with them for almost 10 years, highlight recommend

Got a call from the dental manager who explained things to me in layman’s terms, so I understand it better. Didn’t know my regular dentist was also the boss, was surprised. Like I say to all my friends, the hub is great, really good optometrists and dentists who provide good honest friendly service. If TUH had more staff like him and Paul the optical manager then I would give them 5 stars. Top blokes. Still not 100% convinced by TUH, but I’m a loyal person, and after the today I feel at ease. In the future don’t wuss out with PC replies, just be honest and direct.
