About Clinica Sierra Vista Insurance

In 1971, during the early days of the Community Health Center Movement, Clinica Sierra Vista was started in the small Kern County farming community of Weedpatch. A group of visionaries set out to provide quality health care to migrant farmworkers who harvested the lush agricultural fields in the southern San Joaquin Valley, but struggled to afford even basic needs like food, shelter, and health care.

We’re honored to continue to serve the men and women of the fields. We have also expanded our footprint throughout the Central Valley, offering care and support to the inner city, the rural and isolated, those of low, moderate, and fixed incomes, and families from an array of cultural backgrounds who speak several languages.

The Dr. I see and the reason I go allows me to rate my experience so high. My physician, Dr. Beare, and the assistant, Alma, are exemplary. They genuinely care and work with me in every aspect.

You have to be a client to make a covid test here.

Did not expect special treatment just because im handicapped and got even less than expected after all the phone calls and months of waiting with no medication made it to the first face to face appointment just to be told I was an hour late and in the wrong place if they wanted to be rid of me should have said so from the start and not had me waiting around for help it sort of think they get some sort of perverse pleasure in doing people this way just because they can

I needed a rapid covid test done and according to the health dept website, they are doing them here. No appointment needed, no cost. I tried calling this location for 2 days straight to verify if I needed an appointment but they NEVER answered the phone. So I drove 2 hours from Ridgecrest today with hopes to get tested (no free rapid testing there). I arrived and was told I need an appointment AND there are none available for two days. I asked the girl helping me how am I supposed to make an appointment if you never answer your phones. Her reply was “the call center is short staffed”. This is terrible customer service (not mad at her, she’s not in charge). At any rate, I went down the street to the drive through clinic by the mall and got a rapid test right away. It cost $129 but I got what I needed. This was my first and my last experience with Clinica Sierra Vista.

We had an appointment, was called back to see doctor within 20 minutes more or less. Receptionist was helpful, nurse was kind and knowledgeable. The doctor was also nice and helpful and listen to what we had to say.
