About Colorado Farm Bureau Insurance

That’s when a humble group of small farmers started the company to provide affordable, reliable insurance to local farmers and ranchers. Word swiftly spread about the value and exceptional service we offered—and we’ve been growing along with our customers ever since. Back in the 1940’s and 50’s, it was very difficult for farmers and ranchers to get insurance. To solve the problem, members of Colorado Farm Bureau got together and created an insurance company.

Experienced three different agents in a period of 2 years. They were unresponsive in more than one matter and I had to follow up with them several times. There are better and more responsive insurance companies out there; I’d take your business elsewhere.

This company decided to cancel our home owner’s insurance because they decided we did not live at our home year round. They would not listen to our reason for not being at our home when we were broken into and cancelled our policy against our will .

I am thoroughly disgusted by our adjuster at this company. We had a plumbing problem and had to be out of our house as the water was turned off. To save the company money, I didn’t go to a hotel and took showers at the gym. When my husband returned home from a trip, we went to Drury Inn, again to save Colorado farm bureau expenses. We usually stay at high end hotels. They included “breakfast” and “dinner” in the room rate of $89.00 but it was not food that anyone would normally eat unless you were in prison and had no choice. We went out for breakfast and dinner (at inexpensive restaurants) and the adjuster told us he wouldn’t pay for it since we had it included at the hotel. We both have dietary restrictions due to our health and couldn’t have eaten the food at the hotel.

If you want to save money and be covered in the event of an accident, find a better company. I initially chose Colorado farm bureau because my family has used farm bureau for almost 20 years and we’ve always been taken care of. Turns out even with “huge” discounts they’re still grossly overpriced and not willing to help out their customers when they’re in an accident. The two other insurance companies in my case had no problem helping me out but I had to fight my own insurance company tooth and nail to get them to entertain matching the other two companies. I’m glad my coverage ends next week and I no longer have to deal with them. And it’s pretty bad when your agent leaves because she can’t keep her customers because CFB keeps hiking rates and mistreating their customers.
