Love this company! Customer service reps are always great. We unfortunately had to file our first claim, they handled it super fast. And hassle free.

The continually worst experience of our lives! Two very different house, two different owners, not sure if it is just a Florida issue but we have NEVER experienced anything like this in Idaho or Washington! I’m happy to provide details upon request. Advice? Stay as far away from this company as you can!

Cons: They know how to play the game. They will initially quote you a low-ball price to undercut Citizens, then after signing-up, they will redact credits, charging you more than Citizens. If you continue with them at this point, they will then greatly increase your premium at 1 year renewal, but the increase will be <20%, thus making it impossible for you to move to Citizens. Also, if there are any overpayments from your escrow, they will do their best to keep these overpayments.

Pros: Every time you call them, they are actually very pleasant.

We got a quote from them and ended up choosing another insurance company. We let them know, never signed any paperwork and choose a different company. We then started getting calls about payment being due and then a bill and a insurance binder in the mail. NEVER did we sign a single thing with this company. They didn’t even have the right start date for the policy as we closed on the home early. When trying to call to correct this, customer service hung up on me, then I called them back and said they couldn’t do anything. Then I called the person to who initiated this policy without our consent and they said they could not correct it and I have to send an email in order to get it corrected. HE INIATED THE POLICY, yet HE CANNOT FIX HIS MISTAKE. This issue is still not resolved. Watch your back with this company even if just getting a quote.

How is it possible that I just bought a house and after a month they tell me that I have to change the roof of my house when I gave them an inspection so they can approve me. So now no one knows how it happened. My roof says it’s 5 years old and now they want me to change it. So why didn’t they tell me that before accepting the policy and now no one is responsible? They just wanted my money.

I am giving this company one star based on the only interaction I have ever had with them, beyond giving them money every month. For 13 years I’ve paid in full and on time. I have never filed a claim, meaning they have never had to give back any of the money I have paid them. I received a notice recently that they will not be renewing my policy. I requested they review their decision and received a hollow response about how difficult it is for them to make these decisions. I can’t help but feel that whomever is responsible for making their business decisions could do better. I would not recommend anyone using this company and will make sure everyone with which I interact is aware of that.
