We’ve had good luck with this insurance company considering their rates and claims experience

Recently my 93 year old mother sold her condo in Florida. She had paid her homeowners insurance a quarter ahead. We completed the paperwork to cancel and request a refund using the forms they supplied. It turned out It was an outdated form with an incorrect address. After two months I called and they informed me they had not gotten the form. In the meantime we got a cancellation notice for non payment. We filled out the forms again a month ago. No refund. We got another cancellation notice from the same person. Numerous phone calls confirming information and receipt of form, still no refund. It is not clear to me if this is just sheer incompetence or an attempt to hold onto $ that should be refunded. Do not recommend this insurance company.

I have to say that this is the first time I have ever had to go through my homeowner’s insurance for anything. I placed the claim 2 weeks ago. The check has already been sent out.

So you pay a bundle over the years and one day you need them to respond accordingly and they won’t abide by what is written in black and white.

Unbelievable! I was told this was one of the “good” insurance companies that would have your back when it was needed. Big fail! Big fraud!

So far, so good. I’ve been with this company for many years now which, in Florida, is a feat unto itself. I haven’t had the need for any claims but my premiums go up every year, anyway. That’s just the price of living in a hurricane state. I can easily recommend this company

I have few insurance polices with Golden Bear Insurance from last 7-8 years. Best Customer service with competitive prices.

They disrespect the American flag by flying it on its side when I called to point out the fact it’s wrong she told me get over it. NEVER felt so insalted being a veteran. If they cant fly the flag with respect they need to be boycotted

This insurance company is terrible. The staff is rude, no online services (what is this the Middle Ages?), they let our policy lapse and nobody contacted us. Protect your assets and choose a different insurance provider. This company does not know what it is doing.

Employees there are quick to snitch but don’t snitch on them selfs or other employees only on new temp employees.. Supervisor don’t even have the decency to talk to you and give you a warning. They have employees go talk to HR…
