The Gosline Insurance Group is the largest, locally owned, independent agency group in Central Maine.  We are equipped to meet and service all your insurance needs, and have the resources to provide numerous coverage options and the ability to work with and find carriers who offer those coverages.  We intend to maintain a strong local presence in those areas we conduct business with the ability to share expertise in a wide variety of insurance coverages.

Walter Gosline established Gosline-Murchie Agency in Gardiner, Maine in 1955.  He had been a life insurance agent for Northwestern Mutual when he decided to open a general lines insurance office.  In 1973 Walter hired his son, E. Nelson Gosline, who had spent ten years as an insurance adjuster.  E. Nelson introduced Richard L Goodwin to the agency and together they purchased the Agency from Walter. Kenneth L. Bailey and G. Nelson Gosline purchased Dick’s stock in 1996.
