About GuideOne Insurance

We operate a little differently than most insurers — we don’t work for customers, we work with them because the work they do is so vital to the strength of our communities. We’re proud to say that we’ve been an advocate and an innovator for our customers since our founding in 1947. In 1962, we recognized that community organizations needed an affordable, efficient insurance product that rolled many coverages into one.

Joke of a company… I called to say I didn’t want my insurance renewed cause I found cheaper with American Family Insurance so they proceed to tell me I can’t on the phone since they need it in writing.. then proceeds to tell me it’s okay to email.. So my email on the Internet is more secure than me giving actual info over the phone like say my social security number? Stupidity, avoid at all costs. Also if you call the number on the actual policy you don’t even get guideone insurance.

CHEATS

A church insuring company that needs “moral insurance” to verify its business because honestly its employees and indeed its practices do not reflect the most basic principles of humanity or decent business. If you can; I would avoid doing business with them at all costs. One of the most morally debased companies around.

A very two-bit insurer, but cheap. We were insured by them for many years and always had great trouble when it came to any claims. They were mishandled, neglected or totally ignored. Most of their agents work from their homes so there isn’t even an office you can visit many times. They really push the ‘God’ shtick which should be a red flag for anyone – using religion to solicit business. I am glad we are finally dropping them. Wish we had done it much earlier.

Great place to work and learn from some of the best minds in the industry! Very experienced and knowledgeable leadership group, legal department, HR, IT, and underwriting teams. The company overall has been very welcoming.
