Love this insurance company, however cmwhen making payments the customer service representative are not the friendliness people to speak to.

I just called NJM to add a car, and like usual, I got right through with no waiting. I spoke with an Angela Robinson-King, and she was just the nicest, knowledgeable and helpful person. NJM is great and the people there are awesome! Highly recommend for auto and home!

Was a customer for 12 years, utilizing a policy for 2 cars as well as homeowners. I recently moved and my commute was reduced from 22 miles each way to 1 mile. My policy went UP. Confused, I decided to shop around and found out I was paying more than double what I should be paying for less coverage. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called them to let them see what they could do. After about an hour on the phone and them re-running my insurance risk score they couldn’t even come close to a competitor’s rates. Funny enough my risk score WENT DOWN which is mindblowing considering I have no claims, a high credit score, no late payments, a credit history of 20+ years, I’m over 35 and both cars on the policy were less than 2 years old. Do yourself a favor and shop around. The miniscule yearly dividend check isn’t worth the money you’ll be overpaying for NJM.

They filled a lawsuit for $600 past due auto insurance premium. Unreal. After doing business with this company for several years, this will be the last. I cancelled all of my other insurance policies with NJM. I am surprised the company is going to these extreme measures.

If you’re going to pay your premium in full and base it on the online amount, don’t bother–it’s probably wrong, you’ll pay it thinking you’re getting the discount, only to find out months down the road, that the online numbers were wrong. Very, very, very shady practice!!!! If I hadn’t checked and called, I would have paid almost the entire premium due but not gotten the discount. There were some changes to my policy 6 WEEKS AGO, so I would have assumed the website would have been updated–I guess that’s the game they play trying to get you to pay in full and then deny the discount. I have to wonder how else they try and scam you. BUYER BEWARE!

I just waited 40 minutes on the phone with customer service answering 1000 questions to only get a QUOTE for insurance. Just for them to say I am not eligible for their insurance because I have 3 minor traffic tickets from 2020 & 2021. What a waste of time lol never again. I’ve never been denied insurance, ever lol. Don’t even bother with this company. 40 minutes I can’t get back 🤦🏽‍♀️

They are great UNTIL you need them or until you make any kind of slip-up. When that happens, they will drop you so fast, you won’t believe it. Unless you have a perfect record, don’t even apply. And if any blemish like a dui is on your record, you can totally forget it.

This company was a huge disappointment for me. Twenty five years with a perfect record, no points, no accidents, then one bad break and bam, I was dumped!

Impossible to deal with. Wasted a half year of my life with the worst doctors imaginable. Haven’t had a sliver of help since my injury. Be careful definitely wouldn’t recommend them for any type of insurance. Stay far away because they dont care about your health in the slightest bit. I hope everyone involved with my case deals with what I have dealt with. I wish the worst for them and there families since they didn’t care for mine. I really hope they all meet horrible fates. Because karma is real. I wouldn’t ever even work for a company insured by them! And I will slander the name and spread the truth you guys love to delete soo much. Enjoy what’s coming

They may be a good insurance company, but their customer service is the worst. I was with them 20 years with auto and dropped because they are so burdensome to deal with. Today I received a notice saying my homeowners was 2 months past due. My records showed I had paid the earlier payment. I called them up to find out if it was truly the case or if the letter just went out before a payment registered. The rep tried to talk over me saying the letter didn’t say I owed 2 months. I acknowledged the letter said recent payments may not be reflected but the letter did state that I owed 2 months. She kept telling me it didn’t say that. I said all i want to know is how much I owe. She responded “just what the letter says” They have lots of issues there.

I have been a customer of NJM for auto and home for over 20 years. When I have a claim to file it is done efficiently and quickly. Always courteous and attentive. I am a little disappointed with their rates however. Being a customer for so long you would expect your policy rate to go down some but they raise my rate every year and I don’t have any tickets or accidents for at least 10 years. The dividends for being a good driver are a nice incentive.
