Only because I can’t leave zero stars. My policy has been cancelled twice because they can’t straighten out a simple payment issue involving my mortgage company. Been on the phone to resolve it numerous times and still just canceled a third time. I will be calling the CFPB, the better business bureau. And I’m considering seeking legal counsel. Don’t use this company. I plan on pulling my business from the reputable company unless they drop American Modern that brokered this policy for me. Absolutely the worst service I have ever has from any company.

Do not set up automatic payments with this company and when you cease doing business with them be certain to get cancelation in writing and hang on to that paper. They will ‘conveniently ‘ forget to actually cancel your policy and continue to pull coin from your account.

I set up automatic payments almost two weeks ago online. Last night I got email notifying me that they cancelled my policy due non payment but the funds are sitting in my account because amig never drafted the payment on the scheduled date. This type of service is the perfect example of people trying to do the right thing and corporate America doing what they want. Very unhappy customer!!

Horrible!!!! Do not do business with these people. Responses from them is nearly non-existent!!!! This “insurance” compnay is a joke!!!! ( and my business i deal with a lot of insurance groups)

They raised my mobile home insurance from 571 to 876. I have had them 5 years, and never placed a claim. They say it’s because my credit rating went down. So, it’s obvious this company PREYS ON PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN NEGATIVELY AFFECTED BY THE PANDEMIC. Explain how my credit rating affects my annual payment? Are they accusing me of being more likely to make a false claim because I have less money?. This is a prime example of how people with less means are kept down by powerful, wealthy companies.

Do not use this company! We have been w them for 17 years. Payments in full all the years!

We had wind and hail damage to our roof! Contacted June 21 and still nothing! Now worried about the continuing rain and the singles r off the roof! Manager assigned to our claim still has old message on phone! If I did this at my company I would have lost my job! Customer service is horrible!

I feel like going to Ohio to get some type of action! Just so very upset!

Found better insurance at State Farm call and canceled insurance for American modern and even called and made sure 2 other times but then about a month ago I got a paper in the mail saying how much my bill will be so I called again and Brianna the woman we were dealing with said it will be canceled but yesterday I got another paper in the mail about the bill so had to call them again and this time I talk to the main office not Brianna so hopefully it’s canceled I’m tired of dealing with this

I can’t cancel my policy because they hang up on me after 30 minute hold times, they never sent me a policy number or any of the legal documentation that I’ve asked for, this a shady company if it’s not an outright scam

I hope all these low ratings are not for classic insurance.I have had them for 3 years,and by far the most reasonable.They dont have much knowledge on classic values and customer service seems a little lost.I dont expect them to b car fanatics,but they should know a little

Just nonexistent customer service! Doesn’t matter the time of day you call they will not answer the phone, just a constant automated prompt that all reps are busy. I have ptsd from listening to that horrid jazz tune they play. I curse progressive for ever introducing me to this company right now!!

I have had nothing but great and friendly customer support from this company. They were able to quickly change my policy from an unoccupied house while it was being renovated to an occupied house as soon as I moved in. In the last year, they have been easy to work with and highly responsive.

They are not addressing damage that was caused from weatherization. Had the nerve to blame a set of weights on the 3rd floor for EXTERIOR damage. All things paid for regarding home insurance they refuse to cover. I will definitely be giving this information to the BETTER BUSINESS BOROUGH. Terrible company to have ANY insurance coverage from!
