I had an unfortunate event happen at an investment property that lead to me making a claim. Citizens was quick to respond and I had a remediation team out the same evening. The contractors doing the subsequent repairs dragged out the project and Citizens kept calling them on my behalf to help get the project completed. They helped make the process as painless as possible and they contacted me with a weekly update until the repairs were complete. I am pleased with the service they provided.

This is the worst company I have ever experienced. Suffered damage from Hurricane Irma and this company put me through pure hell. Several adjusters come out and see how bad the damage was. Reported that damage and this company refused to help. Being desperate to get my house fixed (huge hole for months because I couldn’t get help) I was forced to settle and eat thousands of dollars even though my house was hit by a natural disaster. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I was treated like I was less than a human by this company. They don’t care about you or what you are dealing with. I wish there was a way to give zero stars because they do. It deserve one.

We were not even in our house one month and they cancelled us. Roof needed repair, we had it done by a licensed contractor until we could replace it next year. Heat didn’t work. We put in a complete new a/c system. The outside electrical panel and riser needed replaced. We signed a contract with an electrical contractor, however the power company’s first available date to shut off power so the electrical work could be done wasn’t until 6 weeks after we moved. We conveyed that to citizens and they cancelled us anyway. Whatever you do stay away from citizens!!! I gave them one star because zero wasn’t an option.

Horrible customer service. Also think they don’t have to follow the law regarding property insurance in Florida.

The worst insurance company ever!!!! Not even 2 months into moving into our home, we get a cancellation notice because “roofing wasnt to par”! Yet we passed inspection at the time of closing!!! This company is quick to give you a quote you cant refuse and quick to take your money, and also quick to cancel you giving you just a weeks notice!!! Not only did i have to pay over $9k outta pocket, they now wont reinstate us cause of “plumbing issues”. The fact that weve been living in our home for 4 months and not once had an issue with our plumbing just goes to show you the snakes these people really are! Dont not give them your money!!!! Unprofessional as can be!

This company increased my policy by $913, just because they don’t have competitors in Florida. Millions of Floridians home owners have received an increase of $1000 in their policies. I just want to warn you: Floridians are smarter than you, with the next hurricane you’ll have to pay billions in claims, you’ll go in bankruptcy. For now you just won, wait and see…

When you talk to your insurance company, you expect to get a professional response, unless of course you are talking to a computer or to a wall for that matter.

I had moisture in the flooring, logically it is caused by a water leak somewhere, so I found the root cause and I water proofed my house from the outside, it cost me nearly $6,000, the result was amazing, no more moisture in the flooring.
