Professional service and a local staff. The preferred choice for homeowners, rental dwellings and flood insurance in Louisiana.

This is the absolute worst company I’ve ever dealt with.. I was given a quote and paid it in full. This company come back and re-quoted not one more time but twice more. And the price I’m having to pay is ridiculous for a dwelling policy on a small 1200sq ft house.

I dont even wana talk about it. No reply, Wants pictures but no answer. Ask questions no answer. Once I talk to a representative things since to have gotten better. They did do an amazing job getting the money fast for the first walk.

Pretty awful insurance company. Avoid at all costs. They are unresponsive, give you contradictory information, do not follow their own practices regarding payment dispersement, and contract their work out to companies who are equally as clueless as they are.

Spend a little extra money and go with a reputable insurance company.

My roof got damaged due to hurricane Laura . It’s been almost one month I am waiting for an estimate. It is not professional. I understand that you are probably busy with many homes affected by Laura. But you’re in Louisiana and hurricane is not something “unexpected” for an insurance company. If you cannot handle this, there’s a problem in your business model go fix it.

As an agent, I highly recommend Gulf States. They are one of the best carriers around. Reading the comments below, it is clear to me that the negativity experienced was more about adjusters than the company. This is where your agent comes in. The adjusters were 3rd party during the 2020 hurricane season due to an overwhelming season (for all companies, not just Gulf States.) And some may not have done the best job. This is why having a good agent is so important. We are your voice and we fight for you. With Gulf States, they made the fight easy. Our clients were happy and all claims were paid.

Sad to see all of the other bad reviews. Gulf States Insurance went above and beyond for us for Hurricane Ida. I always got a representative when calling not some auto system, they were always so nice and prompt. The 3rd party adjusters with Ryze took very good care of us as well. I would recommend.
