LD&B began as a humble life and health agency started by Gene Diener. Gene and his wife began their life together serving in an overseas mission agency in Costa Rica. They returned to Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1974. Even though times were hard and few jobs were available, Gene made ends meet working in construction by day and selling life insurance at night. It took time, but eventually his determination paid off and he started working full-time as an insurance agent in 1975. He worked hard; and as importantly, worked smart, providing the community with a creative new solution to package life and health insurance together.

I was with Lb&d for many years. Had home and auto. Last 4 years my home policy went up almost $100 every year for no reason. I didn’t catch that till last year. From $560 to over $900 in 4 years.. I called Marietta asked if there’s anything we can do to bring my payment down. She said there’s nothing we can do.. that’s not true. They could have gave me a different insurance company with better rates than Erie, wich i had at the time, they just didn’t want to.. i left them and now paying $239 a year for same coverage, same deductible. That’s just on home, also saved on auto. BIG difference…

I have used LD&B as our insurance agent for renter’s, auto, and homeowner’s for nearly a decade. In the first few years, I did experience a number of frustrating moments with our agent. He/she made a number of mistakes on insurance forms, I needed to continually follow up to make sure things got done, and he/she would always call my wife even though I tried to make it clear that I was the primary contact. I asked to switch agents, which LD&B did with zero hesitation. Our new agent has been wonderful. Very attentive to details, very responsive, and has even been proactive in reviewing our premiums and saving us money by finding comparable plans with other carriers. My rating is reflective of my experience after we switched agents.

I had a very inpersonal experience. Not very helpful to explain my homeowners policy. I had everything set up, all questions answered all we had to do was sign a paper. I sent my husband in to sign the papers when he had to go through the process again. Not friendly although I think that girl switched positions. Good luck with that company.

I have been a customer for over a decade, until now with a move out-of-State, and I have never had any negative experiences and always received prompt attention to my concerns even when new staff members take over my accounts. Rebekah Kimble has been amazing seeing me through adding a new vehicle and then moving away, all as my new agent. I have nothing but glowing remarks for the agency as a whole and the agents who have personally worked with me over these many years!
