Quoted a ridiculous price, 5 times more expensive than 20 other quotes and even though I asked not to be contacted have been constantly hounded, 1st by e-mail and now by phone from multiple numbers. Several calls a day. Should be reported to watchdog for harassment.

AVOID, avoid, avoid!!!! Terrible service is an gross understatement. Thank God I used a credit card. I gave up trying to get a refund (I requested a refund due to their incompetence) and my credit card company sorted things out. Even so I was charged £45 for admin. They do not even deserve one star. Do business with them at your peril!!!

Who knew trying to get insurance for a newly qualified teenage driver would take SO much time and effort. I spent pretty much a whole day calling insurance companies and brokers to get quotes for my newly qualified 18 year old to drive a 20 year old Mercedes C class – (much loved old family car, don’t ask!). With one exception, everyone I spoke to was unhelpful, not very knowledgeable and stupidly expensive (highest quote was just under £6,000!). On three occasions I spent an hour answering questions before being told they couldn’t quote me. The consultant I spoke to at Be Wiser was able to answer most of my questions and sought answers to those she couldn’t. Be Wiser were able to quote and it was the lowest quote by a LONG way. They provided cover with an insurance company who had originally told me they couldn’t quote!

Such a bad experience! I canceled a policy last November and they accepted and said that will pay me back one amount regarding the excess. Until this moment nothing and for my surprise they are charging again a new policy for a car that I already told and proof them that I dont have.

Be wiser Stay well away from this broker!!!! I took out car insurance with them. After 4 hours, reading the terms and condition of their spy-box (they call “telematics” or “coverbox”) i called and cancelled the policy. But they are not returning the premium i paid them. After long time, many phone conversations where they provide strange excuses, they wrote me the excuse “we received a referal from the underwriter who advised that all refunds are now being processed on a 60 day rolling period…”. I wrote the underwritter (Aviva) and they confirmed they have nothing to do with it. To me, this excuse sounds like a company cashflow problem which might hint that we are close to see the back of them… so be wiser and stay well away from them.

I canceled a policy and they accepted and said that will pay me back one amount regarding the excess. Until this moment nothing and for my surprise they are charging again a new year policy for a car that I already told them that I sold and proof them that I dont have it anymore. Also without my permission they start direct debits from my Bank

I Had a car insurance financed by close brothers, i had to cancel the car insurance and I’ve paid the be wiser direct the outstanding amount. I’ve informed close brother, no issues. After few weeks letter with missed payment, call them and they needed information from be wiser, I’ve called them, pass the info to close brothers, all sorted. After another few weeks same problem, letter, call car insurance, call close brothers, all ok. Now i got missed payment on my credit score. Just some idiots!

The reason for this negative review is down to how they’ve hounded me at the end of the year. I’ve had 3 calls which I answered from their receptionist urging me to be put through to an agent. I explained I was on a mobile n would decide on my next policy when I sat down with the relevant paperwork in front of me. Also price was a big factor. So could they please not phone me, I have their renewal price and I will contact if I wished to pursue it. I explained this three times three days in a row. Then I had to block the number as I got a call every 2 hours. One time after I spoke to them they phoned back again immediately after. What is wrong with this company? I now will not use them on principal. I couldn’t care less if they are the cheapest, all bells n whistles best policy, they are major harassment n hounders. Terrible desperation for business.

Dodgy company bad people. Charged me different price from what they quoted. Despite admitting that their staff made a mistake. They wanted me to either stick to the extra price or pay 500 cancellation charge. Thanks to ombudsman services I didn’t have to pay the cancellation charge. Otherwise they had threatened me with a court case. Bad people

booked some car insurance through online retailer, didn’t realise that a telematics box was required, called up several times to be hung up on. and with in 20 minutes of setting up the policy managed to get through and they requested a £125 cancellation fee, for 20 mins of policy, its criminal.
